# batch-5-to-6: Spring Batch 5 to 6 on Spring Boot 3.5 to 4.1

Companion code for the ankurm.com post "Spring Batch 5 to 6 Migration Guide".

| `legacy/` | A one-job app on Boot 3.5.16 / Batch 5.2.6 (JDK 21) using the Batch 5 API |

| `migrated/` | The same app on Boot 4.1.1 / Batch 6.0.5 (JDK 25) using the Batch 6 API |
|
|
| `scripts/run-all.sh` | Builds the intermediate stages from `legacy/` and regenerates every file in `output/` |
|
|
| `output/` | Transcripts: compile errors, startup failure, deprecation warnings, the silent listener change, and the final run |
|
|
|
|
Batch 6.0.5 is the latest GA; 6.1.0-M1 and 6.1.0-M2 are milestones and are not tested here.
|
|
